Experienced Electrician – West Chester, Ohio
Location: West Chester, OH
Pay: Starting at $40/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Flexible hours | Full-time | Overtime available
Shifts: 1st shift 6am-2pm or 8-4pm plus OT
Position Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Electrician to join our team in a shop environment, constructing new modules and electrical systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.You will perform electrical installation, assembly, and troubleshooting of various systems — including PLCs, control panels, switchboards, motors, and distribution boxes — as well as assist others in more complex builds and diagnostics when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct, install, and maintain electrical equipment such as control panels, junction boxes, switchboards, and motors.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Wire and install MCCs, VFDs, combo starters, lighting circuits, and control devices.
- Run EMT and rigid conduit to precise specifications.
- Test circuits using proper diagnostic tools and report readings to supervisors.
- Perform repairs on switches, small motors, and control devices; replace fuses and lighting.
- Complete all required quality and safety forms for supervisor review.
- Assist with troubleshooting PLC systems and new module construction.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of formal technical training or equivalent work experience.
- Strong understanding of PLC systems and electrical controls.
- Ability to work independently and follow project specifications.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Skilled in running EMT and rigid conduit.
- Familiarity with shop-based builds and electrical system testing.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, kneel, bend, and lift up to 70 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders and step ladders safely.
