Pipefitter (Shipyard)
Experienced Pipefitters Wanted – Help Build Nuclear Submarines & Aircraft Carriers!
Location: Newport News, VA
Starting at $29.50/hr + $120/day per diem + Attendance Bonus!
Long-Term Project (Up to 2 Years)

What You’ll Do:

Read and interpret detailed ship piping drawings

Fit and prep carbon steel, stainless steel, and copper-nickel piping

End prep using hand tools and Portsmouth machines
-
Install pipe hangers, fit welded sockets and brazed joints, prep backing rings, V bevels, and bend pipe from templates using hand benders

Fabricate assemblies from detailed blueprints
-
Accurately read a ruler (inches and tenths) and safely operate a grinder
What You Bring:
-
5+ years of experience in commercial nuclear or marine pipefitting
-
Confidence working with a variety of metals and methods
-
Solid blueprint and drawing interpretation skills
-
Strong attention to detail and safety
-
Able to pass a hair follicle drug test (3-month lookback)
What You’ll Get:

Top pay up to $29.50/hr (based on experience)

$120/day per diem for every day worked

$0.50/hr perfect attendance bonus, paid weekly
